WHERE Panera Bread by Fenway Stop! [MAP] Accessible via MBTA Green D Line
WHAT Food and art and fun!! We’ll have large paper there laid out on the tables like last time so that everyone can draw together!
WHAT TO BRING Drawing materials! Plus there’s an art store right next door so money too, for supplies or just food from Panera. If you cosplay, please don’t be grey to keep it off the paper!

Boston Meetup: Saturday, January 19th

If you’re in Boston, Saturday January 19th, I’ll be hosting a Tumblr Meetup at the Westin Waterfront Lobby at 3:30 PM. Whether you’re in Boston attending Arisia 2013 or live in the area, all guests are welcome. There will be a small loot of buttons from the Tumblr offices.

So I stopped by the meetup yesterday at the Pru for maybe two hours and just wanted to point out a few things. This is, in no way, the fault of the person hosting it but rather just a reminder to the individuals in attendance. It is not okay to take up an entire section of the food court with your belongings. When there are 15+ tables being taken up with coats, jackets, drinks, food, trash it takes away those tables from people who are actually coming to the food court to eat. By all means use the tables if you are actually going to be sitting at them! But if you are going to go hang out outside (which I do believe the outdoor food court is currently closed off for winter hence the ‘closed for winter’ signs at the bottom of the staircases and ‘not an entrance’ sign that was being used to hold open the door) please take your things with you or throw out your trash first. There were more than few disgruntled workers milling about and perhaps some of you noticed the abundance of girls in red dresses looking for seats? I believe they were part of the American Heart Association actually at an event sponsored from somewhere within the prudential. I might be off on where they were coming from but the point remains that many people were looking for seats while we had an entire area being tied up with no one sitting in it for long periods of time. I know this might not seem like a big deal, so think of it this way. Leaving your stuff just lying around ex: purses and jackets on tables and chairs is a great way for it to get stolen. Did anyone notice the cards that have been recently added to every table that said ‘watch your belongings’? It’s not exactly a safe place :(

This might sound like I’m scolding you, but I’m not. I just want people to be more aware of the area this group is using and, perhaps, put everyone’s stuff on maybe two or three tables with someone looking after everything?

Bostonstuck Project: Homestuck Field Day 2013

Hello, everyone, I know I haven’t been on here or updating in forever but I will try my best to update more often. And probably need to open MOD aps.

Anyways, with that aside, Homestuck Field Day 2013. I had this idea on my mind for awhile not, but I’m not sure how this’ll go down smoothly because not everyone likes field days or whatever and I don’t know if there will be enough participants.

The field day is kind of like a group of Homestucks dressing up in their cosplay, divided into two teams, Prospit and Derse. Participating in events to earn points for their team. Food and drinks being provided. Just a whole lot of fun and such.

I’m thinking each team will have their rightful kingdom badges, like those arm badges that will be pined to your clothing.

As for the outfits, I want t-shirts, with pants or shorts which ever the cosplayers are most comfortable in. But I want the colors to be the rightful colors for the rightful kingdom. I will be fine if you want to add some customization to your outfit. But, I will talk about the uniforms in another post when I have things put together and see if we can actually do this.

Things that we will need before even thinking about details:

Event moderators, to help talk about date, time, location and to help at the event.
Volunteers to help out at the event (photographers, food/drink bar, ect).
